Mark Bridges Takes the Helm at CableLabs in a Carefully Staged CEO Handoff
CableLabs has named Mark Bridges, currently executive vice president and chief technology officer, as president and chief technology officer effective August 1, 2026. He will step up to president and chief executive officer on January 1, 2027, completing a deliberate leadership succession.
Phil McKinney, who has served as president and CEO since June 2012, will retire on Jan. 1, 2027. To keep the handoff smooth and strategic initiatives on track, McKinney will remain fully engaged as CEO through the end of 2026 and will continue to advise the CableLabs Board of Directors and Bridges throughout 2027.

Bridges has served as CableLabs' executive vice president and chief technology officer since June 2023, leading the organization's technology and strategy teams.
