WPP will run more of its IT on Kyndryl’s AI tools, and Kyndryl is making WPP its preferred global marketing partner

12 October 2026: Kyndryl and WPP have widened their partnership, with a focus on using artificial intelligence to streamline operations and sharpen their marketing offerings. The two companies announced the expansion today.

The deal has three parts: modernising WPP’s technology systems, expanding the marketing work WPP does for Kyndryl, and jointly pursuing new business.

Overhauling WPP’s technology

WPP will bring in Kyndryl’s Agentic AI Framework to improve application support, resolve technical problems faster and simplify its IT environment. The move supports WPP’s Elevate28 strategy, which aims to make the group’s operations simpler and better connected through AI.

The companies also plan to bring cloud services, workplace technology and IT infrastructure under a single operating model. WPP expects this to cut costs and raise efficiency over time. It will also use Kyndryl Bridge, an AI-powered platform for managing and monitoring technology systems.

WPP takes on more of Kyndryl’s marketing

Kyndryl has named WPP its preferred global marketing partner. WPP’s remit grows to cover digital marketing, media planning, brand strategy and creative services. The two will also build an AI-powered marketing system on WPP Open, WPP’s AI-based marketing platform.

Going after new business together

Kyndryl Consult and WPP Enterprise Solutions will keep working together to help clients upgrade their technology and operations. Their joint work will centre on AI, data and other emerging technologies.

Overall, the companies say the expanded partnership is meant to improve efficiency, simplify business processes and open up new growth opportunities.
